Abstract
The paper deals with the theoretical formulation of the idea concerning the cooperative security and a new concept of security in the post cold war period. The author also analyses the idea and the system of security during the cold war. Additionally, the author surveys the shortcomings and insufficiency of the traditional concept and system (both national and international) of security in the circumstances of emerging global society. Taking into consideration the theoretical and practical shortcomings of the traditional concept of security, the author develops a new scientifically and methodologically based concept of cooperative security as a necessary frame for introducing a new international system of security founded on trust and cooperation among all participants in the globalization of the world. The paper presents two analytically based models of trust evolvement (founded on reciprocity and mutual identity), which may serve as a basis for a new concept of security as well as for a global institutionalization of the cooperative security.
