Abstract
Rainfall losses and runoff hydrographs have been studied for three urban catchments near Sydney. Analysis of the losses and the hydrograph recessions allows identification of events consisting solely of impervious runoff, and events with both pervious and impervious runoff. A proportional loss model combined with a two parallel reservoir model, with parameters determined from hydrograph recessions, has been found to give good reproduction of recorded hydrographs.
