Abstract
Lee Christofis, a performer, writer, broadcaster and advocate in dance, has been appointed as Curator of Dance after the departure of Michelle Potter. He is a teacher in Arts Management and Theatre Studies at the University of Melbourne and he coordinated the Postgraduate Arts Criticism program at the Victorian College of the Arts. The Ballets Russes project, a collaborative partnership between The Australian Ballet, the University of Adelaide and the National Library of Australia will bring together outstanding creators across disciplines and will delve into the environment that gave rise to the Diaghilev phenomenon and saw its legacy take hold in Australia.
