Abstract
The studies revealed that spiromesifen 240 SC @ 150 g a.i./ha significantly reduced the red spider mite infestation and was second best in reducing whitefly population. The highest yield was recorded in spiromesifen 240 SC @ 150 g a.i./ha. Further, spiromesifen showed excellent residual activity over three weeks whereas standards failed to provide such long residual action in spite of three or four applications. observations also indicated that the spiromesifen was very safe to Stethorus sp. and Amblyseius sp.
