Abstract
In a continuation of studies on the intestinal absorption of fats in subjects irradiated with Co/sup 60/ in the abdominalpelvic region, the absorption behavior of oleic acid labeled with I/sup 131/ was studied. Unlike the case of triolein, a fair percentage of subjects who did not reveal any changes in the absorption values during or after irradiation were found The other subjects displayed involvement of the absorption that differed according to the starting values and, in general, was less marked than those observed with triolein. No parallelism was observed between the size of the dose and the degree of involvement of the intestinai absorption. (auth)
