The Effect of Income Class Gap on the Consumption Structure of China's Rural Residents Based on Panel Data

Abstract

This paper uses the panel data of different income classes of rural residents' income and eight consumption expenditure types, and makes the econometric analysis through building the corresponding Panel Data model. The study finds that rural residents' consumption structure as a whole is still lagging behind, the consumption difference between different income classes is mainly displayed in the consumption types of improving the quality of life.
