Abstract
Mass multiplication of Pasteuria penetrans was carried out in two root-knot nematode susceptible hosts viz. tomato and brinjal with three different doses of root powderd bacterial culture. With an increase in inoculum level of root powder culture of P. penetrans (1–3g/m2), there was corresponding increase in final bacterial spore population/unit weight of root powder. Maximum final bacterial spore population/unit weight of root powder and maximum reduction of final root-knot nematode population in soil were recorded in the treatment where 3g/m2 root powder culture of P. penetrans was applied in brinjal followed by 3g/m2 root powder culture of P. penetrans in tomato.
