Abstract
Many plant extracts are known to have inhibitory effect on the growth and reproduction of various fungi which is constructive in plant disease management. Eight botanicals (Phytoextracts) of various plant species viz., Dhatura, Neem, Nilgiri, Tulsi, Jatropha, Garlic, Turmeric and Ginger with suitable control were screened by poisoned food technique in vitro to know their inhibitory effect on the growth of S. rolfsii. Among them extracts of neem (A. indica), turmeric (C. longa) and tulsi (O. sanctum) may have some strong toxic principle that directly affects the growth of Sclerotium rolfsii.
