The issue of the initial, transient, non-stationary regime in the queuing system simulation modeling has been an important and still intriguing question for decades. A theoretical approximation for determining the relaxation time in the queuing process was used to show importance and effects of the transient regime on the measures of queuing system performances. The paper also offers the author's view on the nature of the initial transient regime issue as well as a possible way to tackle it.
