Abstract
The directional dependence of ionization chamber and counter tube instruments compared with scattered radiation is examined. Only by changing the orientation of a measuring instrument did methodic measuring errors up to 75% result. The directional dependence of instruments used for measuring scattered radiation should be taken into account in their calibration. (auth)
