Abstract

19 cell engineering strains regenerated by protoplast from Pleurotus ostreatus were studied. When these strains were cultivated under 20,25,30 and 35 ℃,it was found out that six regenerative strains of protoplast grew faster than the original strain.Meanwhile, all the mycelium could grow at 20,25 and 30 ℃,but at 35 ℃ the mycelium could only bourgeon and was unable to grow. The result of further high-temperature-tolerant test showed that the strain P484 was more heat-resistant than other strains. This test proved the feasibility of breeding on edible fungi by the technology of protoplast regeneration.
