Abstract
Field trials with soil solarisation showed a reduction of 43.8 and 24.3 per cent in the population of Rotylenchulus reniformis and Helicotylenchus indicus respectively. Application of Calotropis leaves @ 80 t/ha in the first year gardens was found significantly better than neem and castor leaves which was proved as effective as carbofuran granules in reducing the nematodes populations.
