Abstract
A radioactivation analysis of tungsten samples was carried out. The samples were irradiated during 20 hr with a thermal neutron flux of 8.7 x 10/sup 12/ neutron/cm/sup 2/ x sec. The content of sodium in tungsten, which was found to be (1.7 plus or minus 0.25) x 10/sup -3/%, was determined by means of filtration of a comparatively soft gamma radiation of tungsten. It was shown that under centain conditions small amounts of potassium and aluminium in tungsten can be determined by this method without their chemical separation beforehand. A single-crystal gamma spectrometer with a 100-channel amplitude analyzer was used. (auth)
