Efficacy of New Molecules of Insecticides Against Helicoverpa armigera (Hub.) In Laboratory Condition

Abstract

A laboratory experiment conducted in the laboratory of Agricultural Entomology Section, College of Agriculture, Nagpur during the period 2010–2011 to study the screening of new molecules of insecticide for bio-efficacy against H. armigera (Hub.). The experiment was arranged in completely randomise design (CRD) replicated in thrice with eight treatments including control viz. T1= Flubendamide 39.35% SC @0.01%, T2= Spinosad 45% SC @ 0.02%, T3= Indoxacarb 14.5 SC @ 0.007%, T4= Rynaxypyr 18.5% SC @ 0.006%, T5= Emamectin benzoate 5% SG @ 0.002%, T6= Endosulfan 35% EC @ 0.07% T7= Quinalphos 25% EC @ 0.05% and T8= Control (Distilled water). In the study was resulted the application of all new insecticides found significantly superior result over the control. Flubendamide 39.35% SC @0.01% was obtained 83.33, 86.66, 93.33, 96.33 and 96.33 per cent mortality of H. armigera larvae after 24, 48, 72, 96 and 168 hours spray respectively.
