Abstract

The association between fifteen vegetative and floral parameters along with their magnitude towards number of flowers per plant was studied among twenty one germplasm of rose. Correlation revealed that number of flowers per plant had a non significant positive correlation with plant spread, days taken to bud sprouting, length of shoot after 15 days of bud sprouting, number of flowers at first flush and total shelf life of flowers, both at genotypic and phenotypic level. Among inter character association at environmental level, number of flowers per plant revealed positive non significant correlation length of shoot after 15 days of bud sprouting, days taken to bud sprouting, diameter of flower bud, days taken to anthesis, flower diameter and thorn density.
