Abstract

The efficacy of seven insecticides was tested against leaf miner, Chromatomyia horticola (Goureau) on mustard in Himachal Pradesh during the rabi season 1990–91 to 1992–93. Cypermethrin (0.01%), dimethoate (0.03%), oxydemeton methyl (0.025%), decamethrin (0.008%) and fenvalerate (0.02%) were found highly attactive. Hence, considering the effectiveness and economics of different treatments cypermethrin and fenvalerate are recommended as a control measure.
