Weather Features in the Coastal Area of the Northern Yellow Sea under the Influence of Sea-Land Breeze

By using ground-based observation data and related information in Dandong,Donggang and Kuandian from 2006 to 2008,compared the characteristic of annual wind frequency in the coastal area of the northern Yellow Sea with that in the inland region,the sea-land breeze days of the coastal stations were counted,the macroscopical statistics characteristics of the sea-land breeze in this area were analyzed,and the correlation between sea-land breeze and rainfall as well as temperature were studied.The results showed that the sea-land breeze and its annual variation in the coastal area of the northern Yellow Sea is obvious and it is seasonal maldistribution.Sea breeze often causes low clouds in coastal area in summer and autumn,and it is beneficial to sea fog landing.The Low-level convergence line(coastal front,sea breeze front)caused by sea-land breeze is helpful to the occurrence of thunderstorms and other severe convective weather.Land-sea breeze is an important factor for diurnal variation of precipitation and it can restrict the emergence of high temperature.
