Efficacy of Some New Insecticides on the Incidence of Leaf Folder, Cnaphalocrocis medinalis Guenee Infesting Rice

Abstract

Field studies undertaken to evaluate the efficacy of some newer insecticides on leaf folder (Cnaphalocrocis medinalis) infesting rice revealed that the combination products (fipronil + fenobucarb) applied @ 1000 and 1250 ml/ha were effective in reducing leaf folder incidence followed by triazophos @ 750 mllha (fipronil + fenobucarb) @ 750 ml/ha and fipronil 5 SC @ 500 mllha during both the seasons.
