Abstract

A field experiment was carried out at Department of Horticulture, Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Udaipur (Rajasthan) to study different plant bio regulators in relation to fruit quality and yield of winter season guava cv. Sardar. Five bio regulators namely NAA, Ethrel, PBZ, CCC and triacontanol were used at different concentrations, contributed favourable effects on size, yield and quality of fruits. The maximum fruit length (6.67cm), fruit diameter (6.74cm), fruit weight (179.32g), fruit volume (172.45cc) and thereby maximum yield (63.83kg/tree) were recorded in 500 ppm PBZ treatment. Minimum acidity (0.375%), highest TSS (15.35%), total sugar (7.53%), reducing sugar (4.36%), non-reducing sugar (3.01%) and maximum organoleptic score (8.67) were observed in 500 ppm ethrel treatment whereas, maximum ascorbic and content (205.18 mg/100g. pulp) and pectin content (0.80%) were recorded in 200 ppm NAA treatment over control.
