Abstract
Objective To know the toxic effects of fipronil against Reticulitermes chinensis. Methods Contact toxicity was determined by filter paper-dipping chemical method,repellent effect was determined by filter paper-dipping chemical method and wood block-dipping chemical method,and feeding toxicity was determined by wood block-dipping chemical method.Results Fipronil had strong lethal action against R.chinensis.Meanwhile,fipronil was repellent to R.chinensis at higher concentration.Conclusion The best concentration of fipronil for the treatment of wood block was ≤50 mg/L.
