Abstract

The different development processes for plastic materials that are available can be characterised in terms of the shielding effectiveness that they provide, their cost and the practical implications for their successful application to plastics. All of these factors must be balanced when designing a shielding system for a given application. The paper is a review of the predominant shielding methods which are in commercial use at present. Following from this is a synopsis of novel shielding systems which are currently under development. >
