Abstract
[Objective] The theoretical basis of the chemical regulation of pollination and the ratio of the seed-setting for high yield of chestnut and the reasonable fertilization was provided through the research on the scientific and effective inhibition of flower bud differentiation for the promotion of female flower differentiation based on the understanding and exploration of its physiological mechanism.[Method] The content of carbohydrate(soluble sugar, sucrose and starch) and soluble protein in the male flower bud and leaf budat same time in the critical period of male flower bud differentiation of the chestnut, which was 6-year old variety—Eli No.2,were measured.[Results] The various trend of the content of carbohydrate and soluble protein in the male flower bud and the leaf bud at same time in the critical period of chestnut male flower bud differentiation was similar and the content of them in flower bud was higher that in leaf bud.Comprehensively,in a certain range of concentration, the accumulation of soluble sugar, sucrose and soluble protein promoted male flower bud differentiation.[Conclusion] There was close relation between the chestnut male flower bud differentiation and the accumulation of nutrient, and also, and leaf bud differentiation.
