Abstract
Initial deposits of 3.11 and 5.6 µg g−1 dicofol were recovered in/on acid lime following the spray treatment at recommended (0.05%) and double the recommended dose (0.1%), respectively. The residues in the whole acid lime fruit persisted for 20 days and reached below detectable level in 30 days. In juice dicofol residues were detected after 10 days, reached maximum of 0.12 and 0.22 µg ml−1 after 15 days and thereafter decreased. The residues in acid lime fruit dissipated with half-life of 2.7 and 2.9 days. Based on the persistence pattern and MRL value of 5.0 mg kg−1, 1 day waiting period is suggested for the recommended dose and 2 days for higher dose.
