Abstract

ILO pub-WEP pub. Working paper on the employment implications of disarmament - based on data from Western Europe and North America and assuming an employment policy of full employment, considers unemployment, and the potential for reassignment and labour utilization with regard to the transferability of skills; outlines obstacles and economic implications; presents enterprise level models for conversion based on product Innovation and retraining; discusses legal aspects.
