Abstract
The project-New Gathering Center 27 and 28 with a 260-kilometr-long pipeline for the oil field in the western part of Kuwait,contracted by China Petroleum Engineering & Construction (Group) Corporation (CPECC),were put into operation in December 2000 and March 2001respectively. These two largescale oil gathering stations, which represent the world's advanced level in oil and gas field surface construction, will be helpful to raising the crude productivity considerably in Kuwait, enabling the country's oil industry to meet the modernization standards.
