Abstract

There are observable differences in the way in which the liver handles / sup 198/Au and /sup 99m/Tc-sulfur colloids. Studies were made with serial autoradiography following intravenous injection of these two colloids into mice. /sup 198/Au colloid passes through three distinct stages of phagocytosis by Kupffer's cells. In sharp contrast, /sup 99m/Tc-sulfur colloid does not. (auth)
