Abstract
Based on special structure of coupling matrix, we present two improved algorithms for direction of arrival (DOA) estimation in the presence of unknown mutual coupling for uniform linear array (ULA). To enhance the performance of DOA estimation in the presence of unknown mutual coupling, an improved algorithm using spatial averaging algorithm is also proposed. Iteration is not required in our algorithms, which results in low computational complexity. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.
