Abstract
During recent computer graphics courses at Georgia State, students created VRML worlds using text editors, then displayed the worlds using freeware browsers. This article discusses how I integrated VRML version 1.0 into the course, the resources that using VRML required, the problems we encountered, the student projects, the students' reactions--very positive--and how VRML might be used in other courses.
