Abstract

A group of 20 and 60 buffalo heifers aged 1½ to 2 years were fed isocaloric and isonitro-genous control and 2.3% urea based concentrate mixture respectively. Wheat straw and green fodder (5 kg) were the common roughages for each animal. The overall daily weight gain during 9 month trial was similar in both the groups.
