Abstract
A comparative study between maize nuclear male fertile materials and male sterile materials induced by space flight was carried out by means of mRNA differential display. The sterile pool and fertile pool were amplified by different primer combinations from 24 anchored primers and 5 random primes.Among the polymorphic primer combinations, only one primer combination showed polymorphism between the sterile pool and fertile pool. The polymorphic fragments could be related to the gene conferring nuclear male sterility.
