Abstract

In the introductory part of this paper the author briefly adverts to the attitude of society, state and law towards the issue of abortion during its development through the history. Afterwards, the author outlines the legal provisions related to the termination of pregnancy before the Criminal Code of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia was enacted in 1929, particularly emphasizing the solutions proposed in the projects from 1922 and 1926. The final part of the article gives detailed analysis of the 1929 Criminal Code paragraphs that pertain to the abortion exposing also the author's conclusions regarding the adopted solutions.
