Abstract
A glass house experiment was carried out to investigate the interaction of Rhizoctonia solani and Meloidogyne incognita on tomato c.v. Pusa ruby. The results indicated that the per cent decrease of plant growth parameters viz., shoot length (41.87), shoot dry weight (51.5) and root dry weight (33.08) was more with maximum root-knot index of 3.2, number of egg masses per root system (15.2), number of eggs/egg mass (213.40), root-knot nematode population (2504.6) when nematode was inoculated prior to fungus. The percent pre (33.46) and post (43.13) emergence rot and fungal population of R. solani (1831/g soil) was also high in the treatment nematode inoculation prior to fungus.
