LONGIDORIDAE (NEMATODA) IN THE VINEYARDS OF THE PROVINCE OF VERONA

Abstract

Longidoridae (Nematoda) in the vineyards of the Province of Verona. A nematode survey was carried out in the Province of Verona to establish specific composition and distribution of the genera Xiphinema and Longidorus. Three species of Xiphinema and three of Longidorus were found. X, pachtaicum (Tulaganov) Kirjanova and X. index Thorne et Allen occurred throughout the Province. X, vuittenezi Luc, Lima, Weischer et Flegg was detected, with very low frequency, only in the zones Soave and Valpolicella. Longidorus had only local distribution in the Soave zone with L. juvenilis Dalmasso and L. athesinus Lamberti, Coiro et Agostinelli and in the Valpolicella zone with L. moesicus Lamberti, Choleva et Agostinelli.
