Abstract
Dichloromethane extract of dried mycelia separated from 28 days old culture filtrate of Trichoderma harzianum showed antifungal activity against Fusarium solani, Sclerotium sclerotianum, Rhizoctonia bataticola, Sclerotium rolfsii, Rhizoctonia solani and Alternaria alternata. Metabolites such as palmitic acid, methyl palmitate, seco-koninginin (Ketotriol), ergosterol and 6-pentyl-α-pyrone were separated from extract by column chromatography and identified by spectroscopic techniques. Among the metabolite 6-pentyl-α-pyrone has been identified as the most active against tested fungi in vitro.
