Effect of Tralkoxydim with Other Herbicides on the Weed Control in Wheat

Abstract

Two years' field studies were conducted at CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar to evaluate the efficiency of tralkoxydim alone and in combination with other broad leaf herbicides on the control of weeds in wheat. Tralkoxydim 250 g/ha or isoproturon 750g/ha applied alone 20 DAS significantly reduced the population and dry weight of weeds at 60 and 90 DAS as compared to weedy check. Tralkoxydim applied 20 DAS and followed by 2, 4-D, tribenuron or Ouroxypyr 35 DAS provided better control of all weeds compared to tralkoxydim. Tank mixtures of tralkoxydim 250 g/ha and isoproturoo 375 g/ha were most effective against complex weed flora. Higher grain yield of wheat was recorded in the combination of tralkoxydim 250 and isoproturon 375 g/ha applied 35 DAS.
