Abstract
Field experiments were conducted during winter seasons of 1990–91 and 1991–92 at CCS Haryana Agricuitural UniversityI Hisar. The combination of tralkoxydim 300 g/ha + isoproturon 200 g/ha reduced the population and dry weight of weeds at 60 and 90 days after sowing (DAS) as compared to the weedy check. Tralkoxydim + 2, 4-D did not prove effective in reducing the population and dry weight of grassy weeds. The grain yield in case of tralkoxydim 300 g/ha + isoproturon 250 or 300 g/ha was similar to the weed free check or isoproturon applied alone at 1000 g/ha.
