Abstract

Entomopathogenic fungi are the main biological factors of controlling pest population in nature, but its application was limited because of their poor performance in field. With the rapid development of fungal molecular biology and gene engineering, large progress has been made in improving the strain's virulence and creating highly efficient and stable strain. The latest advance of entomopathogenic fungi in genetic engineering was reviewed, mainly including selective markers, some transformation methods, and the application of improved strains.
