Abstract

Neem Azal and Rakshak Gold at 2 1 ha−1 required only 4 sprays during 48 d of economic damage period of Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius) and their effect persisted for 6–12 d to suppress B. tabaci below economic threshold level (ETL). The population of Aphis gossypii Glover, Amrasca biguttula (Ishida) and bollworm damage also remained at low level at higher dose of neem-based insecticide treatments. However, three ETL-based sprays of triazophos targeted mainly against B. tabaci lead to significant increase in aphid population as compared to control. Minimum boll damage and higher seed cotton yield was recorded in triazophos-treated plots, which was statistically at par with NeemAzal and RakshakGold (a) 2 1 ha−1
