Abstract
parecoxib sodium, the first injection preparation of selective cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitors,is used as an analgesic for acute postoperative pain. Its efficacy has been proved in the stomatologic, gynecologic,or orthopedic surgery.Intravenous paricoxib 40 mg,twice a day,can also reduce the morphine consumption and improve postoperative analgesia. In this review,we summarized the pharmacological mechanism, clinical research and safety of parecoxib.
