Abstract
Field investigations were conducted at the experimental area of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana during 1994–95, 1995–96 and 1996–97 on loamy sand soil having 88.2, 7.7 and 4.0% of sand, silt and clay, respectively. On an average, highest barley grain yield of 4060 kg ha−1 was recorded in diclofopmethyl (0.90 kg ha−1) after first irrigation followed by tralkoxydim 0.35 kg ha−1 (after first irrigation), isoproturon 0.94 kg ha−1 applied after first irrigation, isoproturon 0.56 and 0.75 kg h−1 applied before first irrigation: and these treatments gave 88.0, 87.0, 75.5, 73.1 and 72.2% more yield than unweeded (control) treatment, respectively.
