Abstract
Soil application of oxamyl, aldicarb, carbofuran and phenamiphos retarded galling and reproduction of Meloidogyne javanica and improved growth of groundnut plants. Seed soaking in 1000 μg/ml of phenamiphos solution delayed germination by 2–5 days but improved root growth. Soil treatment with oxamyl and aldicarb, preceded by seed soaking, was more effective while seed soaking in phenamiphos was not compatible with carbofuran. Seed soaking and soil treatment with phenamiphos resulted in phytotoxicity.
