Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present the role of music and teaching music culture in the development and cultivation of musical abilities of students in primary school class teaching. Music, especially listening to artistic music is the basis for the development of musical and aesthetic dispositions and abilities. Interest and musical sensitivity are the primary dispositions whose development is strongly linked to the development and cultivation of students' ability to observe experience, evaluate and create the beautiful. The article presents findings and studies by many authors in the field of aesthetics, aesthetics of music, music pedagogy and psychology of music. The role of music culture teachers and teaching has been particularly highlighted as two crucial factors in the development of musical and aesthetic abilities of students. The main task of teachers is to create a stimulating teaching situation in which the student and his response to the aesthetic value of music are to be the central issue of the aesthetic and music education, whereas the aesthetic experience will represent the basis for learning and the model for all other types of experience. Therefore, besides explanations of music art concepts, and aims and tasks of music culture instruction, this paper deals with the importance and the role of artistic music in the development of aesthetic dispositions and aesthetic abilities of students in class-teaching.
