Abstract
Maximum growth of Alternaria solani was obtained on Yeast extract glucose agar medium followed by Soil extract agar medium, Oat meal agar and Sabourd's agar medium.When grown on Potato dextrose agar medium, the fungus produced filamentous, septate dark coloured mycelium with conidiophores arising singly or in groups.
