Abstract
Imidacloprid (EZ)-l-(6-chloro-3-pyridylmethyl)-N-nitroimidazolidin-2ylidene amine), a chloronicotinyl compound with unique mode of action was evaluated against bhendi aphid, Aphis gossypii Glover and the results revealed that imidadoprid 17.8 SL at the recommended dose of 25 g a.i. ha was effective in controlling the population of aphids up to 25 days. As the concentration increases, it increased the efficacy. The x, 2x and 4x doses of imidacloprid did not produce any phytotoxicity symptoms on bhendi plants.
