Abstract

A newer insecticide molecule, imidacloprid belonging to chloronicotinyl group with systemic properties was tested for its bioefficacy against major sucking pests of cotton viz., aphids and leafhoppers under field conditions and the results revealed that imidacloprid 17.8 SL at the recommended dose of 25 g a.i. ha−1 was quite promising in reducing the population of both the pests without any phytotoxicity symptoms and produced better yield.
