Abstract

Pruning at 3, 4, 5 and 6 buds per cane was compared in grape cv. Ftame Seedless. The minimum percentage of shot berries and uneven coloured berries was observed in 4-bud pruning. Also this treatment recorded the maximum bunch length, breadth and weight. The highest number of bunches (117) per vine as well as yield (31.21 kg) per vine was recorded with 4-bud pruning. The total soluble solids (T.S.S.) content was observed maximum (18.0%) whereas acid contents were found minimum (0.44%) with 4-bud pruning.
