Abstract

Studies on the efficacy of synthetic insecticides and biopesticides against aphids i.e, Myzus persicae (Sulzer) and Aphis gossypii Glover on potato cv. Kufri Chandramukhi indicated that phorate 10G was most effective insecticide in controlling the aphids followed by acephate, chlorpyriphos, lindane, Bacillus thuringiensis and Beauveria bessiana, respectively upto 15 days after first spraying. But after second spraying, acephate 75 SP gave the better control of both species of aphids together followed by chlorpyriphos, lindane, phorate. Bacillus thuringiensis and Beauveria bessiana respectively.
