Abstract
A screen house study was undertaken for evaluating some fungal and bacterial antagonists as seed dressing treatment against root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita infecting okra. The seeds of okra variety A-4 were treated with Trichoderma viride, Trichoderma harzianum and Pseudomonas fluorescens each @ 10g/kg seed and carbosulfan 25 (DS) @ 3% a.i. (w/w) was also included as treated check. The treated seeds were sown in root-knot nematode infested soil having 2J2/g soil. The observations recorded 45 days after sowing indicated that the growth parameters of okra plants were better and root–knot nematode (M. incognita) populations were reduced in all the treatments compared to inoculated control.
