Abstract
Six Marwari yearliag sheep were offered water hyacinth as a sole diet. The DM intake/d, per 100 kg B.wt. and per kg W0.75 were 434.28±43.16 g, 2.56±0.12 kg and 5i.32±3.21 g, respectively. The DCP and TDN content were 9.71±0.40 and 58.94±0.7g%, respectively with the daily intake of 42.16±2.78 g DCP and 25S.43±23.68 g TDN. The digestibility coefficients of DM, OM, CP, EE, CF and NFE were 69.75±1.13, 71.79±1.03, 62.25±2.80, 76.04±2.46, 72.15±1.61 and 75.10±1.42, respectively. The N and Ca balance were positive while the P balance was negative.
