Abstract
The explants of stem section of Hongshuanxi(a Chinese rose variety) were cultured on different media with different hormone combination and concentration by using different sterilization patterns to study the effect of sterilization pattern, hormone combination and concentration on induction, growth, propagation and rooting of axillary buds of cultured explants. The optimum sterilization pattern is that explants are firstly dipped in 75% alcohol for 1 min and then sterilized by 0.1 %HgCl2 for 8 min.The germination rate of axillary buds of the explants cultured on MS + 20 mg/L 6-BA + 0.01 mg/L NAA is the highest(76.19%).The propagation coefficient of axillary buds cultured on MS + 1.5 mg/L6-BA + 0.1 mg/LNAA is the highest(2.24).1/2 MS + 0.01mg/L IBA is beneficial to root differentiation and growth of plantlets.
